Andrews Center provides Family & Youth Success at no charge through a partnership with Networks/FAYS – a provider of in-home, family preservation services.
What’s the need? Family & Youth Success (FAYS) programs primary purposes is to serve youth and their families. FAYS often provides guidance and support related to:
• Depression
• Bullying
• Grief/Trauma
• Suicidal Tendencies
• ADHD Issues
• Anger
• Anxiety
• Drug & Alcohol Abuse by Family Member or Caregiver
• Coping with Divorce or Abandonment
• School Attendance Issues
• Delinquent Behaviors
• Runaways
Caseworkers serve families living in Smith, Henderson, Van Zandt, Wood, Kaufman, Navarro, and Ellis counties. Who do we serve? Families with children between the ages of 0 to 5 in some areas, 6-17 and youth up to 18 that is still enrolled in high school. Children are not eligible if they are on formal probation. Anyone may refer a child for services and a child may refer him or herself. Brief crisis residential services are not available to children under the age of 10.
Families and youth in crisis will be contacted within 24 hours of calling the program or make a referral. Non-Crisis calls for service will be answered within 48-72 hours. All referrals will be assigned to a caseworker. These services are funded by PEI.
