Autism Services - Treatment and Learning Center (TLC)

What is TLC?

Founded in 2009, The Treatment and Learning Center (TLC) provides intensive behavioral intervention, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children, teens and adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities. At TLC, we are dedicated to piecing our community together by helping our clients learn the skills they need to better interact with their families, friends, teachers, and caregivers. We work closely with families to identify their family member’s needs and provide individualized treatment and training to each family and the other important members of their lives.

TLC employs Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA®) and Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA®), Licensed Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT®) and behavior technicians to implement individualized, one on one and small group treatment to each client.

TLC also teaches others who work with children with autism to utilize behavior analysis to encourage and positively reinforce desired behaviors. We maintain strong connections with local school districts, residential facilities, medical professionals and advocacy programs throughout Tyler and East Texas.

Comprehensive Services

TLC’s Comprehensive Program is the only full time, center-based treatment facility in East Texas, accepting children and adolescents from 18 months to 21 years of age. Funding sources for this program primarily include private insurance, school district contract and private pay and typically require an autism diagnosis. Services in this program are provided Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Focus Services

TLC’s Focus Program provides part time treatment to children and adolescents ages 3 to 15. Sessions are typically provided in the clinic but may involve visits to the home, school and community if deemed necessary. This program primarily operates as a contracted provider for the HHSC Children’s Autism Program and requires an autism diagnosis.

Outreach Services

TLC’s Outreach Program provides individualized behavior support services to individuals of all ages and various IDD diagnoses primarily with Medicaid waiver funding such as Texas Home Living (TxHML), Home and Community Supports (HCS) and PASRR.
