Andrews Center Outpatient Substance Abuse Services offer individuals the opportunity to recover from addiction to drugs and/or alcohol. We know each person is an individual and treatment will be designed to address the individual’s specific needs. Services cater to the mental health, emotional, biological, social, and spiritual needs of the recovering individual and may include:
All services are self-pay although medical insurance may cover a portion of the expense. Cost is determined on a case-by-case basis. Andrews Center staff will verify insurance benefits.

Andrews Center provides services for adults with substance abuse and substance dependency problems, as well as psychiatric diagnoses that have resulted in multiple admissions to a state hospital. An individual must be evaluated for a diagnosis of bipolar I or II, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and/or major depression with psychosis, AND substance abuse in order to receive services.
The service provided is an intensive outpatient program consisting of case management and substance abuse counseling, as well as the linking of individuals to community services and 12-step recovery programs in the area. The goal is for the client to achieve optimal mental health without the use of drugs or alcohol and to achieve a lasting level of sobriety and regain productivity within the community.

Outreach, Screening, Assessment and Referral Centers (OSARs) may be the first point of contact for those seeking substance abuse treatment services. Regardless of ability to pay, Texas residents who are seeking substance abuse services and information may qualify for services based on need. Andrews Center is the Local Mental Health Authority (LMHA) for OSAR/Substance Abuse Services in 23 East Texas Counties. Andrews Center subcontracts with East Texas Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (ETCADA) to provide these services. Free, confidential assistance is available 24-hours/7 days per week. Andrews Center is dedicated to educating the community about mental illness. Awareness training and education is available to schools, agencies, hospitals, and businesses. We also provide waiver counseling services to adults regardless of diagnosis.
