The intervention specialist will facilitate the actual intervention.
Each member of the intervention team will share their concerns with the chemically dependant person,
detailing their view of the person’s behavior and how this behavior is affecting them or how they see it affecting the abuser. Specific instances may be cited to further convince the subject that his/her life is out of control and that help is needed. Denials and fears will be addressed. The individual will be offered a way to escape the hopelessness of active addiction.
A treatment center will be ready to accept the individual immediately upon the completion of the intervention.
