Andrews Center Early Childhood Intervention Program or ECI provides support, developmental assistance and other services for children living in Anderson, Cherokee, Henderson, Rains, Smith, Van Zandt, and Wood counties. This program also offers respite care, parent-to-parent support (by telephone or e-mail), and participation in community events.

Our services focus on the daily routines of the family and are provided in the home or other natural environments where the child and family are during the day. Staff also visit childcare centers and other sites that work with childcare staff and extended family members that provide care to the child enrolled in ECI. Current research says that intervention provided directly by family members or caregivers during the normal daily routines results in the most gain for the child. Staying on the "cutting edge" in order to provide the most effective and efficient services possible means that our staff teach, model, and support family efforts.
