Would you like to have a voice in determining what services will be provided in your community, where the services will be provided and when they are provided? Do you want to serve your community in a meaningful way?
Andrews Center, your community mental health mental retardation center, is looking for citizens who live in Henderson, Rains, Smith, Van Zandt, and Wood Counties to fill some current vacancies on our Citizen Planning and Advisory Committees (CPAC). The Mental Health CPAC deals with mental health issues for adults and children while the Mental Retardation CPAC deals with mental retardation issues for both adults and children.
Each committee has a minimum of nine members of whom half are persons who use these services or family members of person who use these services. The other members are interested citizens or employees of other community agencies. No member can be an employee or contractor of Andrews Center. Members are appointed by the Andrews Center Board of Trustees to two year terms. The committees meet at least quarterly and report directly to the Andrews Center Board.
If you would like more information or an application for membership on one of these very important committees, please contact Jim Hartung.
